FOX Sports announces NFL game was the highest-rated Week 1 broadcast since 2016

The first NFL Sunday of the season kicked off over the weekend and the big winner proved to be FOX Sports.

According to FOX Sports, the 4 p.m. ET/3 p.m. CT showdown between the New Orleans Saints and the Tampa Bay Bucs was the highest-rated Week 1 game since the 2016 season.

Tom Brady’s debut with Tampa Bay against Drew Brees and the Saints was also the most-watched event since Super LIV between the Kansas City Chiefs and the San Francisco 49ers.

The Saints beat the Bucs 34-23 in the much-anticipated matchup, which featured two interceptions by Brady, including a pick 6.
