Texas A&M has the task of slowing down one of the hottest teams in America this week when Florida comes to College Station.

Coach Jimbo Fisher knows all too well what the Aggies are up against as they try to move to 2-1 on the season, and hand the Gators their first loss. Both QB Kyle Trask and TE Kyle Pitts have drawn some attention in the Heisman Trophy conversation, but the Gators go beyond those two.

“Offensively, they are very dynamic,” Fisher said on the SEC coaches media teleconference on Wednesday. “I mean, Pitts and Toney and Trask and those guys are doing a tremendous job. You got Grimes and Shorter the whole crew. I mean they’re doing a good job there defensively they bring pressure. They can rush, they are athletic, can cover, very multiple defensive set skill wise. Toney’s a very good returner. As far as the special teams world, the kicker is as good as there is in the country probably. Their punter averaging 45 yards.”

The teams haven’t met at Kyle Field since 2012. The teams have split the last two meetings, but this is the first time these coaches have squared off. The Aggies won in 2017, 19-17, in Gainesville.

The teams will kickoff at 12 ET/11 CT on Saturday.
