Kentucky OL coach John Schlarman died last November after a long battle with cancer.
He was a popular member of coach Mark Stoops’ staff and a former Wildcat standout offensive lineman himself.
After his death, Kentucky fans started a petition to have the university honor him. Now, that has become a reality at Kroger Field.
On Tuesday, the Wildcats unveiled a new banner honoring Schlarman and the “Big Blue Wall,” fittingly hanging on a wall outside Kroger Field. The school released this emotional video of the unveiling:
"You come together, nobody can stop you."

This is a great tribute to a coach who had a positive impact on every player he came in contact with. Great job by the Wildcats.
