The college football season officially began with Week Zero, but Week One of the SEC season starts on Thursday as Tennessee hosts Bowling Green at Neyland Stadium.

The big non-conference tilts featuring SEC teams will be next Saturday, though, as Georgia and Clemson clash at Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte in a top 5 matchup, while in Atlanta, Alabama and Miami will tangle at Mercedes-Benz Stadium.

With a handful of Week Zero games in the rearview mirror, FOX Sports college football analyst RJ Young on Sunday released his rankings of the top 25 teams in the country, and 3 SEC teams landed in the top 10. Young ranked Georgia at No. 2 behind No. 1 Oklahoma, while Alabama landed at No. 4. LSU was slotted at No. 8.

Only 1 other SEC team placed in Young’s top 25, and that was Texas A&M, sitting a couple of spots outside of the top 10 at No. 12.

Georgia’s Week 1 opponent, Clemson, was ranked by Young at No. 5. Meanwhile, Miami is at No. 14 ahead of their meeting with the Crimson Tide.
