Dwight McGlothern has found a new home in the SEC, as the LSU cornerback transfer announced his commitment on Sunday evening. It’s the second addition for Arkansas’ secondary in hours.

McGlothern committed to Arkansas, and became the Razorbacks’ fourth incoming transfer this offseason. He later tweeted, “I will miss My Teammates love them dudes.”

McGlothern played in 9 games for the Tigers in 2021, and made 32 tackles (2 for a loss), 1 interception (which he returned for a touchdown), 5 pass breakups and a forced fumble.

McGlothern was a 4-star prospect out of Spring (Texas) Klein Oak in the class of 2020. He chose the Tigers after he received at least 21 offers from the likes of Alabama, Florida, Florida State, Georgia, Michigan, Ohio State, Oklahoma, Penn State, Texas and Texas A&M, according to 247Sports. As a transfer, he was recruited to Fayetteville by cornerbacks coach Sam Carter.

McGlothern’s decision is a reversal from the recent trend of Arkansas defensive backs going to LSU, after Greg Brooks and Joe Foucha chose to transfer to the Tigers. McGlothern joined Alabama linebacker Drew Sanders, who earlier announced his move to the Razorbacks.
