Tre Gomillion is a veteran guard from Cleveland State who enjoyed playing for Dennis Gates so much, he’ll follow his coach to Missouri for next season. He is a graduate transfer with one year of eligibility remaining.

Gomillion, a native of Augusta, Georgia who started all 31 games for Cleveland State this past season, averaged 10.5 points per game, a season after he also averaged 10.3 points per game. The 6-foot-4 and 215-pounder played for the Vikings for the last 3 seasons, after he spent one season at Gordon State College. In his junior season at Cleveland State, he was named the Defensive Player of the Year in the Horizon League during a season in which he led the Vikings to the conference title and just the third NCAA Tournament appearance in school history.

Coming out of high school, Gomillion helped lead Aquinas to its first-ever Georgia state championship in 2017-18 when he was named first team all-state as a senior.

The new Gates roster is beginning to come together after Mizzou recently added junior college big man Mohamed Diarra, Milwaukee transfer DeAndre Gholston and high-school recommitment Aidan Shaw as members of Gates’ first class.
