Tae Crowder was “Mr. Irrelevant” in the 2020 NFL Draft, going to the New York Giants with the No. 255 overall pick.

He has spent the past 3 years with the Giants, but was recently moved from the active roster to the practice squad just before Christmas.

Well, the Pittsburgh Steelers saw that and wasted no time signing the former Georgia Bulldog off the Giants’ practice squad, the team announced on Tuesday:

In his 3 years with the Giants, Crowder appeared in 41 games, starting 31 of them. He recorded 232 tackles (9 for a loss), 2 sacks, 2 interceptions, 2 forced fumbles, 1 fumble recovery, 8 pass breakups and 1 defensive touchdown.

What sort of role he carves out for himself in Pittsburgh remains to be seen.
