There were many highs and lows in Week 3.

SDS ranks the weekend’s studs and duds. Let’s get right to it.

Studs

Demarcus Robinson, WR, Florida: Robinson was too much for the Kentucky secondary in the Gators’ win on Saturday night. The sophomore recorded 15 receptions for 216 yards and two scores. Robinson provided a reliable target for quarterback Jeff Driskel and provides the Gators with a clear playmaker as Florida heads to Tuscaloosa this weekend. The Gators don’t beat Kentucky without the performance Robinson gave them on Saturday night.

Dak Prescott, QB, Mississippi State: Prescott had about as good a day as you can have as a football player. Yes, it was against South Alabama but he threw for 200 yards and a touchdown, ran for 100 more and another score and then caught a 28-yard touchdown pass. It was the second time in his career Prescott threw a touchdown, ran for a touchdown and caught a touchdown in the same game. Prescott is arguably the SEC’s most versatile dual-threat quarterback and has thrown his hat in the ring as a legitimate Heisman contender.

Alex Collins and Jonathan Williams, RB, Arkansas: Goodness gracious, these two stirred up the dust of West Texas on Saturday afternoon. The duo amassed a combined 357 yards and seven touchdowns on 49 carries in the win over Texas Tech. The two rushed for more than 900 yards each last season and are certain to eclipse that mark in 2014.

Duds

Mike Bobo, OC, Georgia: It was a forgettable day for Bobo, the Bulldogs offensive coordinator. Getting the most attention is a play-action pass on first-and-goal from the South Carolina 4-yard line that drew an intentional grounding penalty. Many people felt the ball had to go to Todd Gurley in that situation. On a day in which the Georgia offense put up 35 points and 400-plus yards of total offense, Bobo has taken some serious heat.

Wade Freebeck, QB, Vanderbilt: Poor Freebeck. He wasn’t on the depth chart the first two weeks of the season, but got the start on Saturday against UMass. Here’s how his day went: he lost his redshirt, struggled in the first quarter, got benched and now can’t redshirt.

Marshall Morgan, PK, Georgia: A successful field goal in the first half set the record for most consecutive field goals made, but Morgan missed two kicks late that were critical to Georgia’s chances to win the game. Morgan is one of the best kickers in the league, but his two missed kicks were part of 13 points the Bulldogs left on the field.
