The statuses of suspended Tennessee linebacker A.J. Johnson and cornerback Michael Williams have not changed, head coach Butch Jones confirmed after Tuesday’s practice. Both players were suspended from all team-related activities last week after being named as suspects in an alleged rape and sexual assault investigation.

On Monday, Knoxville police officials released portions of search warrants to search Johnson’s apartment and collect DNA from the two players. Officers seized an iPhone, a used condom and wrapper, a laptop computer, a marijuana grinder and bed sheets among other items, WATE in Knoxville reported.

Neither player has been charged at this time, but police continue to investigate the incident, which took place in the early Sunday, Nov. 15. Johnson leads the Vols with 101 tackles and is a two-time All-SEC middle linebacker. Williams is a redshirt sophomore cornerback who has appeared in 10 games and made five starts in 2014.
