Video: A.J. Green makes defenders look silly in Bengals camp
It’s only August and former Georgia wideout A.J. Green is already in midseason form.
And that’s great news for Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Andy Dalton.
Green was unguardable during Sunday’s practice, abusing teammates (especially Pacman Jones) during 1-on-1s. Precise route-running and superb hands makes Green one of the NFL’s most lethal pass-catchers.

I love how AJ Green’s body floats through the air on this backshoulder catch. Unreal ball tracking and body control pic.twitter.com/9tKCTvRGtd — Brennen Warner (@BrennenWarner) August 3, 2015

Green has posted four consecutive 1,000 yard seasons since being drafted in the first round in 2011.
“I’m itching to get back this season,” Green told Trove.com on Friday. “I feel like the football world forgot about me. That’s the way I approached it the whole offseason.” It’s an odd statement, to be sure. Granted, this statement doesn’t counter Green’s anti-diva persona, compared to his contemporaries around the league. It’s just different to read/hear Green approaching a question, reflecting on himself as such. Yet, it’s not like the question is written into the story, providing context.
