Bill Belichick not changing UNC’s fortune against NC State, Wolfpack QB says
Bill Belichick is the new head coach at North Carolina. In a coaching career that has spanned almost 50 years, this will be Belichick’s first stop in college.
Spirits are high around North Carolina football now, but one player on the school’s rival isn’t worried. CJ Bailey, quarterback of NC State, was asked about the Belichick hiring and explained that it doesn’t matter who the HC is at North Carolina.
“Bill Belichick can get it too,” said Bailey. “No matter who the coach is for UNC, we’re gonna kick them.”
Bailey and the Wolfpack beat the Tar Heels to end the regular season. The win was the team’s 4th in a row over their in-state rivals and 40th overall in the series. In the regular season finale, Bailey threw for 242 yards with 2 TDs and 1 INT. Bailey also rushed for 54 yards in his team’s 35-30 victory.

The QB also admitted that it would be special to beat the legendary coach.
