Freshman LB Lyndell “Mack” Wilson, a former five-star recruit who signed with Alabama in February, will be undergoing knee surgery to repair a torn meniscus according to multiple tweets posted this afternoon.
In a tweet that has since been taken down, Wilson made the following announcement according to CollegeSpun.com:
Been working hard since I stepped foot on campus and to get the knees that I have a torn meniscus breaks my heart . Surgery tomorrow
He did, however, leave the following tweet up:

Wilson, a Carver (Montgomery, Ala.) product, was rated the No. 2 outside linebacker, No. 2 prospect from Alabama and No. 15 overall recruit of the 2016 class by 247Sports Composite. He chose the Crimson Tide over Florida and Georgia.
The freshman linebacker was already on campus earlier this month, tweeting a photo of top speeds for various Alabama players.
