Alabama assistant strength coach arrested for DUI

Former Alabama standout and current assistant strength and conditioning coach Josh Chapman was arrested Sunday morning for DUI by the Tuscaloosa Sheriff Department according to AL.com’s Matt Zenitz. His bond was set at $1,000.

Chapman, a Birmingham native, signed with Alabama in 2007, coach Nick Saban’s first season with the Crimson Tide. He played until 2011, and was selected in the fifth round of the 2012 NFL Draft by the Indianapolis Colts. He played three seasons with the Colts, but was waived in September 2015. He returned to his alma mater in March 2016, joining the staff as an assistant strength and conditioning coach.
