It continues to be a wild night of baseball between Tennessee and Alabama. Both sides have seen ejections from the coaching staff in what has become a very tense weekend series.

The drama started early with Tennessee head coach Tony Vitello and pitching coach Frank Anderson ejected in the first inning. Anderson was ejected for yelling toward Alabama’s bench after Tennessee starter Chase Dollander was hit and injured by a comebacker on the mound.

After that, Vitello was ejected and had a heated exchange with third base umpire Jeffrey Macias. During that exchange, Vitello charged at and bumped into Macias.

The most recent ejection came from Alabama’s coaching staff. This time, it was first-base coach Matt Reida who was ejected after exchanging words with the Tennessee bench.

So far, Tennessee leads the action 5-2 and is trying to regroup from a loss on Friday. Alabama opened the weekend series with a 6-3 win.
