The Alabama Crimson Tide only have two players in their 2019 recruiting class at the moment, but both are 4-star players.

On Friday, South Carolina native Juwan Gary announced his intentions to play for coach Avery Johnson during an interview at the Peach Jam event.

As you can see in the video below, the 4-star forward says he liked the vibe he got from the Alabama coaching staff:

“Coach Avery broke it down and talked about how he’d push me every single day,” Gary says. “He’s been in the league (NBA) for 16 years, he won a championship with the Spurs, so him being a coach and an NBA player, you can learn a lot from him.”

According to the 247Sports composite, Gary is the No. 19 small forward in the class of 2019 and the No. 3 overall commit from the state of South Carolina.

Alabama’s two-person 2019 class currently ranks No. 2 in the SEC and No. 7 nationally, per 247Sports.
