It pays to be Nick Saban.

Aside from being the winningest coach in college football, the leader of the Alabama football program is also the highest compensated college coach in the nation. Saban received a raise this offseason after agreeing to a one-year extension which extends his deal with Alabama into the 2025 season.

Saban’s 2018 compensation will be $8.3 million, before adding potential incentives.

While that deal has been agreed upon and announced weeks ago, the Univesity of Alabama board had not officially approved it until Friday. Now that the deal has been approved, Saban’s future in Tuscaloosa is that much more settled for the foreseeable future.

Saban is currently scheduled to make an average of $9.6 million between the 2018 and 2025 seasons.
