The Crimson Tide put up a good fight against No. 1 seed Villanova in the first half, the score was 32-27 at the break, but Alabama ultimately fell to the Wildcats Saturday by a margin of 81-58. Villanova became the first team to advance to the Sweet Sixteen in the 2018 NCAA Tournament.

While the contest was tight at the break, Villanova began the second half by making a 24-4 run that did in Alabama. Villanova ended up outscoring the Tide 49 to 31 for the entire second half.

Collin Sexton led Alabama in scoring with 17 points in the game, while no other Crimson Tide player reached double figures in scoring. Alabama made only four of 16 three-point shots. The Wildcats, on the other hand, made an incredible 17 three-pointers in the game. They shot 41 three’s in the game.

With Alabama eliminated from the field, the SEC is down to five teams left in the tournament.
