Alabama defensive back Antonio Kite is moving on following Nick Saban’s retirement.

Kite played at Alabama for 2 seasons. He played in 2 games in 2022, seeing the field against UL Monroe and on special teams against Kansas State in the Sugar Bowl.

This season, he was used in 7 games to add depth to the secondary and worked with special teams once again. Kite last played against Michigan in the Rose Bowl and has 3 years of eligibility left.

The former Alabama DB was a 4-star athlete in the 2022 class out of Anniston (Ala.) High School. The 247Sports Composite ranked him as the No. 8 athlete and No. 9 Alabama prospect in the class. Kite held SEC offers from Tennessee, South Carolina, Georgia, Kentucky, Mississippi State, and Vanderbilt.

Kite joined Dezz Ricks in the portal on Saturday. Former members of the secondary Earl Little II and Kristian Story have also opted for the portal. Little has committed to Florida State and Story is currently pledged to Kentucky.
