The sports teams someone chooses to root for as a kid can stick with them forever – even if they eventually decide to one day sign with that team’s arch-rival.

Alabama DL Quinnen Williams grew up in Birmingham as a fan of the Auburn Tigers. When it came time to sign his National Letter of Intent on Feb. 3, 2016, however, Williams signed with Auburn’s biggest rival, Alabama (he had pledged to the Crimson Tide on June 30, 2015).

Even though Williams has been wearing crimson and white for more than two years now, he still has clung to one part of his childhood Auburn fandom, according to his father, Quincy Williams.

“The majority of his passwords still have Auburn in there,” Quincy told AL.com. “He just kept it consistent I guess because he remembered the password.”

The elder Williams’ comments are part of a lengthy AL.com feature on the Alabama defensive lineman who appears to be on his way to being a high pick in the 2019 NFL Draft.
