Hearts must’ve been pounding all around this situation, but fortunately it has a happy ending.
A fan who attended Saturday’s Texas A&M-Alabama game in Bryant-Denny Stadium lost a diamond. They called event management with the Crimson Tide and Victoria Giattina, who is the Assistant Director for Event Management and External Operations went to the top of the stadium and found it, then returned it to its owner.
“I really could not believe my eyes when I saw it! So happy we were able to reunite this beauty with its owner,” she tweeted in response to Jeff Purinton’s tweet.
Purinton is the Deputy Athletics Director at Alabama, and said that Giattina went to the top of Bryant-Denny and found the diamond and returned it.
It’s difficult to quantify the odds of this kind of ending to a story like this, but we’re glad that everyone involved can smile about it now.

This was on a message board but not anywhere else so wanted to post. One of our fans lost the diamond from an engagement ring at the @AlabamaFTBL game Sat, called our event management team and @VictoriaLeighG went to the top of Bryant-Denny and found the diamond and returned it! pic.twitter.com/3C3w8ZMwXe
