Ja’Corey Brooks Alabama flipped the momentum early against Ole Miss with a blocked punt midway through the second quarter. It came after Ole Miss had the lead and Jalen Milroe threw an interception.
But Alabama and quarterback Jalen Milroe couldn’t capitalize as the Crimson Tide lost 22 yards on the ensuing drive and settled for a 40-yard field goal.
Alabama had a botched snap that lost 13 yards, then Milroe was sacked twice after the drive began at the Ole Miss 1-yard line. At the end of the drive, boos were heard from the Alabama faithful in Bryant-Denny Stadium.

Alabama had an uneven start to the game as the Tide was 3-for-7 on 3rd down attempts, and just 43 yards rushing. The 2 promising drives ended after 11 plays with a field goal, and after 12 plays with the interception.
Alabama otherwise led the time of possession battle with 15:50 to Ole Miss’ 9:00.
