TUSCALOOSA, Ala. — Although the University of Alabama football team was beat up and tired after Saturday’s 20-13 overtime victory at LSU, it appears that the Crimson Tide could have everyone available for this week’s game.

Coach Nick Saban has not ruled out anyone for No. 1 Mississippi State (3:30 p.m., ET, CBS), not even junior running back T.J. Yeldon.

“T.J.’s okay,” the coach said during his press conference Monday. “He’s got a little ankle sprain. He’ll probably be a little bit slowed the first couple of days this week but hopefully we’ll get him going later in the week and he’ll be okay.”

Yeldon sustained or aggravated his pre-existing injury sustained against Tennessee on Oct. 25 during the fourth quarter carry he fumbled. After being helped to the sideline he did not return.

Alabama is already a little thin in the backfield after Kenyan Drake was lost for the season with a leg fracture against Ole Miss. However, senior fullback Jalston Fowler is also an option and last week coaches started getting him some more reps at tailback.

“Got to get in shape, that’s the main thing,” Fowler said last week. “Lot of running. Got to learn both spots, fullback and running back, just pretty much make another transition again.”

Meanwhile, senior tight end Brian Vogler (ankle, knee) should be back in the mix this week after playing only a handful of snaps against the Tigers.

“I think Brian’s going to be better this week,” Saban said. “He didn’t get reinjured at all during the game. We knew that we were going to have him on just a limited basis. He wasn’t able to practice at all.

“That’s the biggest issue at times, when a guy can’t practice at all during the course of a week and then how much do you really feel like he can contribute to the game. Older, more experienced guys like Brian he probably could have played without practicing, but for the most part college players need to practice to be able to play well in the game.”
