Alabama LB Christian Miller entered the 2019 NFL Draft figuring he’d hear his name called at some point, but just didn’t know when.

On Saturday, he didn’t have to wait very long, as the Carolina Panthers selected him in Round 4 of the draft in Nashville (No. 115 overall).

Miller becomes the first Alabama player to hear his name called during Saturday’s proceedings, as his former teammates like Mack Wilson and Deionte Thompson continue to wait. Miller is the sixth Crimson Tide player to go during the 2019 draft.

He’ll join a team that has competed for playoff spots in recent years, so it’ll be interesting to see how he fits in with his new squad.

Miller finished the 2018 season with 34 tackles (11 for a loss) and eight sacks.
