Alabama LB Dylan Moses has had a tough road to recovery from suffering a knee injury that required surgery last season.

He shared some perspective to reporters leading up to the national championship on Monday against Ohio State. Moses has a team-high 74 tackles this season, including his two best tackle games against Ole Miss (13) and Georgia (10).

“The first time I felt 100-percent in myself was the very first game of the season against Missouri, and then after that, just all throughout the season, it was just constant pain,” Moses said. “It was just something I had to persevere through.”

Against Missouri, Moses finished second on the Tide defense with eight stops, including a team-leading 2.5 for loss to go with half a sack and also had two quarterback hurries.

Tight end Miller Forristall shared his thoughts earlier in the week about Moses’ contribution to the team.

“I think Dylan is a great guy to have on your team,” he said. “Besides the fact that he’s an outstanding player, an outstanding athlete, he does everything right on and off the field, and I couldn’t be more thankful to have a guy like that on my team and to be able to play with him. It’s been fun playing with him the last three years and I’m super thankful for the experience to go against such a good player in practice every day.”
