The University of Alabama handed out a legacy offer to QB Paul Tyson (Trussville, Alabama) Friday.
The offer from Alabama came during an unofficial visit. Tyson just isn’t any legacy; he’s the great grandson of Bear Bryant.
Tyson is rated as a 4-star prospect in the class of 2019, and he’s ranked as the nation’s No. 6 pro-style QB and the state of Alabama’s No. 8 overall player, according to 247Sports Composite Rankings. In fact, Tyson is one of the fastest-rising QBs in the country.
The 6-foot-4, 210-pound signal caller boasts offers from Arkansas, Kentucky and Notre Dame, among others. And there certainly will be more offers coming his way after having a big season as a first-year starter. Tyson threw for 3,392 yards and 36 TDs for Hewitt-Trussville.
Tyson shared the news via his Twitter account:
