Alabama offers scholarship to middle school prospect

When did Lane Kiffin return to Alabama?

Kiffin, of course, is famous for offering middle school-aged prospects; however, Nick Saban did his best Kiffin impression when Alabama offered a scholarship to current eighth grader (rising high school freshman) DeAndre Moore Jr. from Nevada. Moore became Alabama’s first offer in the class of 2023.

Moore plays WR and is listed at 5-foot-11, 180 pounds. Because of his age, he doesn’t have a star ranking yet. He certainly will in time.

Along with Alabama, Auburn, Florida and Georgia have all offered Moore a scholarship. The kid can straight play football and already has great size.

If you’ll remember, Alabama and LSU were on current Bama LB Dylan Moses early, too, with the Tide eventually signing him. It’s not often that Saban offers middle school players.
