An Alabama offensive lineman is the latest to reveal his plans to enter the transfer portal.
Miles McVay, part of the Crimson Tide’s 2023 recruiting class, is reportedly portal-bound, according to 247Sports’ Matt Zenitz and Chris Hummer.

McVay is a former 4-star recruit, pledging to the Tide in August 2022 before signing ahead of the 2023 season. He was considered a top 20 offensive tackle by 247Sports’ composite ranking at the time of his signing. In 2023, he played in 4 games and ultimately redshirted.
McVay is the second Alabama player of the day to announce intentions to enter the transfer portal, joining Caleb Odom, a wide receiver who played in all 12 games for the Tide.
A pair of players, defensive lineman Jehiem Oatis, redshirted after the loss to Vanderbilt with the intent to enter the portal himself. Linebacker Keanu Koht filed paperwork to do the same nearly three weeks ago.
Alabama was 9-3 in its first season under Kalen DeBoer, who faced a massive task in taking the reins of the program after the retirement of Nick Saban.
The Tide missed out on the College Football Playoff, but will play in the ReliaQuest Bowl against Michigan on Dec. 31 in a rematch of the 2023 Rose Bowl national semifinal.
