Alabama is still alive in the NCAA Tournament!

Call it magic or March Madness, the Crimson Tide came alive in the second weekend of the West Region with dynamic performances against North Carolina and Clemson, a pair of foes from the ACC. The latest included a magical night from Mark Sears as Alabama rolled past the Tigers 89-82 Saturday night.

Now, there’s history in Tuscaloosa as fans embrace the first-ever Final Four appearance for the Crimson Tide! After elevating the standard of the hoops program, head coach Nate Oats has produced an NCAA Tournament performance of the ages, mixing an improved defense with Alabama’s elite shooting exploits.

Next up stands UConn, the No. 1 overall seed in March Madness and a team that could be approaching its own illustrious destiny. The Huskies are currently unbeaten in the past 2 NCAA Tournaments after winning the championship last season, and no team has come closer than 13 points in that winning streak.

While the pressures of a national semifinal loom next weekend, fans will take the time to soak in the moment and relish in a bit of history. And while Alabama will be underdogs via SDS’s new sports betting apps when the game line drops, the Tide are still just 2 wins away from a national title in basketball!

For now, here is how social media reacted to the Final Four appearance:
