No. 1 Alabama defeated No. 12 Ole Miss 42-21 at Bryant-Denny Stadium on Saturday, but concern was with the health of running back Jase McClellan.

McClellan registered 6 carries for 28 yards during the contest but had to exit in the 3rd quarter after suffering an apparent injury to his knee. Unfortunately for the sophomore, the prognosis may bedire as far as an eventual return according to Nick Saban.

“I think he’s probably going to be out for a while,” the Crimson Tide head coach said, according to AL.com.

Saban also stated that McClellan would require an MRI to determine the extent of the damage. From there, as a timeframe for how long he’ll be out will be determined.

Alabama is now 5-0 on the season. It will visit College Station to take on Texas A&M on Oct. 9.
