Alabama reportedly losing member of Nick Saban's staff to Marshall
Alabama’s staff usually has plenty of turnover each offseason. That comes with the territory of being one of the elite programs in college football.
The turnover doesn’t just hit the on-field staff, either. On Wednesday, it was reported that the Tide were losing a key special teams staffer ahead of the 2022 season.
Per CFB insider Bruce Feldman, Johnathan Galante is expected to leave Tuscaloosa for a role on Marshall’s staff:
SOURCE: Marshall is expected to hire Alabama staffer Johnathan Galante as the Herd’s new special teams coordinator. Galante, who had coached at Va. Tech previously with the Hokies helping w/ ST, had been a key figure behind the scenes with the Tide’s special teams in 2021.

Galante joined Alabama’s staff for the 2021 campaign, coming over from Virginia Tech. He is expected to be the Thundering Herd’s new special teams coordinator.
Marshall is planning to play in the Sun Belt Conference in 2022, but Conference USA has made it clear it will fight Marshall and other schools trying to leave the league early.
