Alabama announced Wednesday that it would be playing a men’s basketball charity exhibition game against Louisiana on Sunday, October 24.
The game is scheduled for 3 p.m. EST, and all of the proceeds will benefit the United Way of West Alabama.

The NCAA had previously only allowed Division I teams to compete against each other in the preseason in closed scrimmages, but in recent years games that benefit worthy causes have been approved.
The game will gave fans a look at what is expected to be one of the best teams in the country.
Nate Oats and the Crimson Tide lost to UCLA in the Sweet 16 and finished 26-7 last season, and they are ranked 8th nationally in ESPN’s Way Too Early Preseason Top-25.
The Rajin’ Cajuns, meanwhile, were 17-9 a year ago.
