Since Tua Tagovailoa suffered a season-ending hip injury on Saturday, there has been an outpouring of support for the Alabama quarterback. That includes from some other former Crimson Tide stars.

On Sunday, former Alabama running back Shaun Alexander took to Twitter to share his support for Tagovailoa, who has been one of the Crimson Tide’s top players the past few seasons:

Alexander played at Alabama from 1996-99, before going on to play nine seasons in the NFL for the Seattle Seahawks and Washington Redskins.

Tagovailoa was having an impressive season for the Crimson Tide, passing for 2,840 yards and 33 touchdowns in nine games. He was one of the top contenders for the Heisman Trophy, but that now seems unlikely with him done for the rest of the year.

Without Tagovailoa, Alabama returns to action on Saturday when it hosts Western Carolina at noon ET on ESPN.
