Alabama stays hot on recruiting trail, adding 5-star OL to 2025 class

Alabama followed up Saturday’s commitment from Caleb Cunningham by adding another 5-star prospect to its 2025 recruiting class on Sunday.
Ty Haywood is the newest Alabama pledge. The elite lineman from Texas shared a note on social media announcing his plans to play for the Crimson Tide.
“I would like to thank God for this opportunity, for even letting me have this once in a lifetime experience. I would like to thank my mom and dad my #1 supporters for getting up all those early mornings to get me to practice and workouts no matter what only because they knew that I could be something special. Thank you for always being there for me your “BIG GUY”. Also thank you to my coaches and teammates for giving me the opportunity to play the game that I love. I wanna thank Coach Collins for making me a better man and a better player, you really dont know how much it really meant to me to be able to come to another man and talk about life, Thank you. Lastly, I’d like to thank my pawpaw and grandpa who is gone but never forgotten, for always believing in me.

Out of Denton (Texas) Ryan High School, Haywood’s current listed measurements are 6-5, 285 pounds. On the 247Sports Composite, Haywood is rated 5-stars, the No. 2 offensive tackle, No. 4 recruit in the state of Texas and No. 11 prospect overall in the 2025 recruiting class.

Haywood drew interest from coast to coast. He picked up scholarship offers from 33 programs, including Florida, Georgia, LSU, Michigan, Mississippi State, Mizzou, Ohio State, Ole Miss, Oregon, Tennessee, Texas, USC and others. Haywood narrowed it down to Alabama, Oklahoma, Florida State and TCU, schools he visited over the past two months, for Sunday’s big decision.
With Haywood on board, Alabama now has 22 commitments for its 2025 recruiting class, which ranks No. 2 nationally on the Composite. Fans can get a preview of what Haywood brings to Tuscaloosa by which his highlight reel below:
