Although Kelvin Joseph has been committed to LSU for over a year, it appears that Alabama is still trying to change his mind.

The 4-star prospect still has a close relationship with several members of the Crimson Tide’s staff, according to a report by Al.com. As the nation’s No. 5 cornerback prospect, Joseph is a major priority for the Tigers, but that hasn’t stopped him from talking to Alabama.

“They say they really need me, that I can come in and change the program,” Joseph told Al.com.

It must be enticing for any prospect to hear that he is needed by an Alabama team that has made back-to-back national championship appearances, which might be why Joseph has been complimentary of Nick Saban’s program.

“Alabama, I like how they work,” Joseph told Al.com. “Every day, it’s hard work, every time I visit. It’s back-to-back championship (appearances).”

As a junior, the 6-foot-1, 191-pound cornerback recorded 72 tackles, seven tackles for a loss and two sacks to go along with 16 pass breakups, five interceptions and three defensive touchdowns.

Joseph gave some insight as to what the Tigers can do to keep him in the fold, telling Al.com that LSU “just has to keep it real and win games.”
