Alabama WR to miss remainder of 2024 season following lower-body injury
Alabama will be without redshirt freshman wide receiver Cole Adams for the remainder of the 2024 season due to a lower-body injury he suffered against Mizzou. Adams was unable to put any weight on his left leg after his injury and was forced to exit the game.
Adams has served as Alabama’s primary punt returner this season, fielding a total of 11 punts with a longest return of 12 yards. As a receiver Adams seldom saw the field, though he was able to post 6 receptions for 94 yards, including 2 receptions for 57 yards against South Carolina.

With Adams now sidelined for the season, expect Ryan Williams or Jaylen Mbakwe to receive primary returning duties. The pair have combined for 5 punt returns this season.
Alabama is entering a crucial week as it pertains to the College Football Playoff field. The Crimson Tide have 2 losses on the season, but thanks to a hectic Week 10 they are now right back in the mix for a spot if they can win out.
But that’s easier said than done. The Tide face off against LSU this weekend at Death Valley – an environment that is also hungry for a spot in the College Football Playoff.
Week 11’s matchup is set to kick off at 7:30 on ABC.
