The Dallas Cowboys are near the bottom of the NFL in passing offense and total yards per game. Apparently Jason Garrett hoped something out of the Jon Gruden playbook might help.

Former Alabama WR Amari Cooper, recently traded from Oakland to Dallas, shared that the Cowboys asked him to share “any cool plays” he learned in Oakland.

In most cases, it’s presumed that the coaches teach the new player the scheme, but apparently Dallas was open to having Cooper teach them Spider 2 Y Banana.

Hopefully Dallas offensive coordinator Scott Linehan will be able to use his own playbook to find ways to get the ball to Cooper. The Cowboys are on a bye this week, giving Cooper some extra time to learn the new playbook or teach any “cool” Raiders plays.
