Brandon Miller is confident in his talent and ability, but the former Alabama star is also realistic about the NBA Draft and presumed No. 1 overall pick Victor Wembanyama from France.

“For me, I feel like I’m No. 1, but you can’t beat 7-5, 8-foot wingspan,” Miller said in an interview with Shams Charania. “The guy’s an animal. I respect him.”

Miller said he expects the night of the NBA Draft to be exciting and emotional for him and his family.

Miller explained that he studied Paul George, when he was with the Pacers, and modeled his game after George’s, and added his own twist.

Miller takes pride in his defense, including diving on the floor, taking charges and getting rebounds. In fact, Miller admitted that he didn’t take a charge until college.

“Giving my body up can go real far,” he said.

His NBA goal is to become a vocal leader, and Miller also admitted that the January fatal shooting in Tuscaloosa was a “learning lesson” and showed him that his career could change in a heartbeat.
