Alabama quarterback signee Bryce Young made a jump in the final 247Sports Composite Rankings for 2020.

Young finished as the SEC’s highest-ranked signee and No. 2 overall in the nation, according to the updated rankings. He finished ranked behind only Clemson signee Bryan Bresee. The 5-foot-11, 183-pound signal caller will have a chance to start as a freshman with Tua Tagovailoa moving on to the NFL, but he’ll have to beat out Mac Jones and others during spring practice and fall camp.

The California native has already enrolled in Tuscaloosa on the heels of a prolific senior season. Young threw for over 4,500 yards, 58 touchdowns and just six INTs. He also added 357 rushing yards and 10 touchdowns on the ground. Prior to enrolling at Alabama, Young won the All-American Bowl MVP, completing 6-of-9 passes for 164 yards and two touchdowns.

His high school, Mater Dei, thanked its quarterback with a fitting highlight video tribute.

Alabama fans will get their first real look at Young during Alabama’s A-Day spring game.
