Alabama quarterback Bryce Young is ready to win a national championship after Alabama fell short of that goal in 2021.

In last season’s College Football Playoff National Championship, Alabama lost to Georgia. Alabama attempted to win its second consecutive national championship in 2021, but they ran into a powerful Georgia team.

After more than six months since the loss, Alabama QB Young wants to finish what he started in 2021. Young won the Heisman Trophy and he wanted to cap off a magical season with a national championship. Unfortunately for Young, he fell short of that personal and team goal.

In an interview with the SEC Radio Network at the SEC Media Days, Young discussed the pain he experienced following the loss to Georgia:

“Ultimately we didn’t achieve what we set out to do, so I think that’s definitely been driving us and driving me individually throughout this offseason,” Young said. “Whenever you get so close and you obviously come up short, it hurts a lot.”

Since the College Football Playoff was installed in 2014, Alabama has won three titles. If Alabama wants to win a fourth national championship, they will need Young to play a major role in the process. He hopes to use the adversity to his advantage.
