Bryce Young availability: Nick Saban, pregame warmups offer the latest about Alabama QB
Bryce Young was dressed and led the Alabama team on to the field on Saturday evening ahead of the Texas A&M game, as Nick Saban shared with CBS Sports’ Jenny Dell that the star QB is still a game-time decision.
Saban said the Alabama medical staff would evaluate Young. However, in pregame warmups, he appeared to be off to the side from other quarterbacks. That gave more oxygen to the notion that it would be Jalen Milroe’s night against Texas A&M.
Young has dealt with an AC sprain in his shoulder since he was tackled near the sideline by Drew Sanders in last week’s win over Arkansas. Milroe came in and Alabama’s offense continued to produce, especially running the ball.
Saban has said it’s not a long-term injury, and that he would defer to the medical staff to determine Young’s availability.
Bryce is no longer warming up with the other quarterbacks. Looks like it might be Jalen Milroe’s night vs. Texas A&M. https://t.co/Bu84sgq1VZ
