Bryce Young describes how welcoming the South has been to a 'SoCal kid'
The Alabama Crimson Tide let QB Bryce Young speak to the media on Thursday after practice, and he went a long way toward making some new fans in the South.
Young, a native of Southern California, has apparently been feeling the love in Tuscaloosa and elsewhere in the Southeast.
During his press conference, Young said he’s had to adjust to the culture, but added that everyone has been welcoming to him:
Bryce Young: "It's definitely a culture adjustment, being a SoCal kid. … The South has been super welcoming. Everyone here, everyone on the team, everyone in the facility has welcomed me with open arms."

We’re sure he’ll have a different opinion of some spots across SEC nation after entering hostile stadiums as the opposing quarterback, but the love from those in Tuscaloosa will make up for that.
Now, we’ll see if Young can become the next great Alabama quarterback, following in the recent footsteps of Jalen Hurts, Tua Tagovailoa and Mac Jones.
