It’s going to be easy for longtime fans of Bryce Young to keep up with his playing career at Alabama.

That’s because the five-star quarterback signee from California will be keeping his high school number next season in Tuscaloosa.

According to 247Sports, Young has been assigned the No. 9 jersey heading into his first spring practice with the Crimson Tide.

At this time, Alabama has not officially listed any of the jersey numbers for the team’s early enrollees.

Here’s what Nick Saban had to say about Young on National Signing Day after signing the quarterback out of California.

“I just absolutely love the guy. I love his character. He’s got a great family. He’s got all the right stuff, and I think that’s really important in the quarterback position,” Saban said of Young. “You’ve heard me say this many times before – if you play quarterback, it’s hard to play the position if the people around you don’t play well, so having great leadership qualities can contribute to that. I think Bryce certainly possesses those qualities.”
