Heisman Battle: Bryce Young outplaying Matt Corral so far in Alabama vs. Ole Miss

Nick Saban vs. Lane Kiffin was the biggest storyline of No. 1 Alabama vs. No. 12 Ole Miss. There was also plenty of interest in the starting quarterbacks.
Ole Miss QB Matt Corral has been getting Heisman Trophy buzz in his fourth season with the Rebels. Alabama quarterbacks are regularly in the Heisman discussion. Crimson Tide QB Bryce Young is playing well in his first season as the UA starter.
In Saturday’s SEC West showdown, Young had the better first half in Tuscaloosa. The sophomore is 12-of-16 for 101 yards with 2 touchdowns, leading Alabama to a 28-0 advantage at the half.
Corral’s passing yardage is statistically close to Young (12-of-15 for 92 yards), but he has lacked the TDs and made a costly turnover late in the second quarter.
The way things are looking, Corral needs to lead an incredible comeback to keep his Heisman stock up.
