A silver lining in the Atlanta Falcons loss to the Cincinnati Bengals on Sunday was the continued impressive play of rookie WR Calvin Ridley.

The former Alabama star had four catches for 54 yards and two touchdowns, which gives him six scores in his first four games. That’s the most by a rookie since 1952, according to ESPN Stats and Info.

Ridley didn’t find his name in the box score against Philadelphia, though he was targeted twice. But since then, against Carolina, he had four catches for 64 yards and a TD, and then against New Orleans, he had seven catches for 146 yards and three scores.

His fast start is making the Falcons look back and feel good about making him a first-round draft pick last spring.
