After signing with the Carolina Panthers on May 1, former Alabama offensive lineman Korren Kirven was waived by the team on Monday.

After the Jets released Kirven earlier this off-season, the Panthers picked him up. He participated in the team’s rookie minicamp earlier this month.

Following his time at Alabama, Kirven signed with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers as an undrafted free agent before spending time on the Browns’ and Jets’ practice roster last season.

The Lynchburg, Virginia, native originally signed with Alabama as a defensive lineman, but he eventually moved to offensive line, where he played his final two seasons. As a senior, Kirven started six games at right guard.
