In what’s become the biggest rivalry in the SEC West (and arguably in all of the SEC), Alabama beat LSU by a score of 10-0 last weekend in Baton Rouge.

The game was a physical one, to say the least. Tied 0-0 heading to the fourth quarter, Alabama freshman signal-caller Jalen Hurts lead the Crimson Tide on two scoring drives to seize the game.

Gary Danielson was the color commentator for the game on CBS. He was asked Wednesday about the contest between both teams. Suffice it to say, but he feels as if LSU is pretty well-matched with Alabama…sans one position:

“I’ve always be hesitant to put the game on one player, because that’s not fair, but the story of the last game and maybe two or three of the past four games (in the series) is that LSU has pretty much matched up with Alabama in 21 of the 22 positions.”

The quarterback position is the one Danielson believes leans heavily towards Alabama. However, Danielson doesn’t appear to be overly sold on the Crimson Tide. He offered a blueprint for how an opponent can take down Nick Saban’s team in 2016:

“I would be alarmed if I were Alabama to tell you the truth. The game worked well against LSU. I also think there is a tape — a blueprint — out there on how to force Alabama to play left-handed. You have to play the quarterback. LSU was zeroed in on Hurts, a running back who can throw. You could tell early that Alabama didn’t feel comfortable letting him go to Calvin Ridley and OJ Howard. I really wonder if Ohio State, Clemson and teams can press this Alabama football team. I’m not sure if there is one in the SEC, to be truthful.”
