Not many teams appear poised to beat Alabama this season, especially after LSU lost to the Crimson Tide, 29-0, this past Saturday night.

But CBS analyst Gary Danielson, who was on the broadcast for the Alabama-LSU game, believes there are two teams that have a chance to take down the Tide, as he shared during an appearance on “The Paul Finebaum Show” on Monday.

Danielson told Finebaum that he believes Clemson and Georgia “are the only two teams that have a shot” to beat Alabama this season.

The Tigers are the No. 2 team in the country after their 9-0 start.

The Bulldogs are ranked No. 5 and are 9-1 after their win over Kentucky this past Saturday, which clinched their spot in the SEC Championship Game. Georgia’s only loss came against LSU on Oct. 13. The Bulldogs will face the Tide for the SEC title after the two schools played in last season’s College Football Playoff National Championship Game.

Danielson had strong praise for the Crimson Tide after their dominant showing against the Tigers.

“The Alabama defense has now reloaded,” Danielson told Finebaum. “It’s taken a little bit of time to get there, but while everyone has been watching Tua [Tagovailoa] amazingly throw the way he has in the first eight games, the defense has been rounding into shape. … I can’t find a weakness on this team.”

Alabama looks to continue its dominant season when it hosts Mississippi State on Saturday. The Crimson Tide and Bulldogs are set to kick off at 3:30 p.m. ET.
