CFB reporters, Draft analysts raved about Alabama DL Quinnen Williams after monster game against LSU
By Andrew Olson
Published:
Heading into Saturday night, everyone wanted to talk about how Alabama’s offense would fare against LSU’s defense. Alabama’s defense responded to all the talk by stealing the show.
It takes a strong performance from everyone to pitch a shutout on the road, but the most talked-about performer was Alabama DL Quinnen Williams, who turned in a monster solo performance (10 tackles, 3.5 for loss, 2.5 sacks).
CFB writers and NFL Draft analysts alike couldn’t stop gushing over Williams.

Of all the great D-linemen coming into this college football season, the most impressive one playing right now might actually be the guy no one was talking about in August– Quinnen Williams.

#QuinnenWilliams has been the best player on the field tonight! He has not been blocked one time

Quinnen Williams is as unblockable as any interior DL Saban’s had which is saying something.

Quinnen Williams won’t be in Tuscaloosa next year.

Quinnen Williams has been doing this all year but on this stage, against this team?
The him vs. Oliver debates are about to get very real.

Quinnen Williams was the best player on the field against LSU. Constantly disruptive, showing violent hands, power and ability to finish plays. Easily a Top-5 pick. pic.twitter.com/jXWUyewc8B

I think Nick Bosa is the top player and I don’t think that’ll change. But would it surprise me if a NFL team has Quinnen Williams No. 1? Absolutely not. His tape supports that type of consideration. https://t.co/mxRl5GDd0d

Quinnen Williams is the highest-graded prospect on my draft board (No. 4 overall) playing in tonight’s game…and he’s living up to that.
Each game is a highlight reel for him. He’s something special.

Here’s Quinnen Williams, splitting the holds of two linemen, and still getting the sack on Burrow. #RollTide pic.twitter.com/hmVZOG0vHd
