The upcoming Sugar Bowl game against Kansas State is the last one on the horizon for Alabama in a rare year in which the team suffered 2 losses in the regular season and is not in the mix for the College Football Playoff.

One of the biggest things about this contest is that quarterback Bryce Young and linebacker Will Anderson Jr. will both play in the game, electing not to opt out even though they have incredibly high draft stock.

College football analyst Cole Cubelic, who has a relationship with both players, recently weighed in on who they are as people and what this means.

“(Bryce Young and Will Anderson) just don’t come across as the kind of guys who would skip this,” Cubelic said. “For a lot of different reasons. Maturity, leadership and just demeanor. Or who they are and what they stand for. I understand the money on the line, but they have the insurance policies and I think they’ll have a little bit of understanding of altering the game plan somewhat. Not necessarily pushing it to the limit from a reps perspective.”

it will be interesting to see if both go out on a high note when the action gets underway on New Year’s Eve.
