Alabama's A-Day was ESPN's most-viewed spring game since 2016
How desperate were college football fans to watch some football last weekend?
The only SEC spring game ESPN decided to cover turned out to be the network’s most-viewed spring game since 2016.
That’s according to ESPN PR which announced that 547,000 viewers tuned in for Alabama’s 2021 A-Day spring game.
That figure is the highest since 2016 and the third-best for the network dating back to 2010.
Maybe next year, ESPN will decide to air more spring games following this bump in ratings.
Of the 12 SEC spring games played this year, ESPN made the decision to only air Alabama’s spring game. The other 11 SEC spring games are being aired by SEC Network Plus.
